Introduction

The high point of the trek entails crossing of the 5416m high Throng Pass, from the arid valley of the upper Manang, home of Tibeto- Buddhists, down to the Hindu pilgrimage site of Muktinath, and the Kali Gandaki valley, the world's deepest river gorge, before heading down to Pokhara. Besides the mountain views, we encounter on this trek a variety of mountain communities of the Gurung, Manangi and Thakali people.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Besi Shahar (830m/2723ft).

Day 2: Besi Shahar to Bahundanda (1430m/4691ft).

Day 3: Bahundanda to Chamje(1560m/5118ft).

Day 4: Chamje to Dhararpani (1810m/5938ft).

Day 5: Dharapani to Chame(2725m/8940ft).

Day 6: Chame to Pisang (3190m/10466ft).

Day 7: Pisang to Manang(3500m/11483ft).

Day 8: Rest in Manang for acclimatization, O/N at guest house.

Day 9: Payu to Phakding (2610mtrs/8563ft) 5 hours.

Day 10: Manang to Yak Kharka (4090m/13418ft).

Day 11: Yak kharka to Throung Phedi(4441m/14570ft).

Day 12: Thorung Phedi to Muktinath via Thoroung-la passes (5416m/17769ft).

Day 13: Muktinath to Marpha via Jomsom (2665m/8743ft).

Day 14: Jomsom to Tatopani buy bus.

Day 15: Tatopani to Ghorepani (2834m/9298ft).

Day 16: Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m/10531ft) to trek to Tadapani( 2520m/8316ft).

Day 17: Tadapani to Chomrong. O/N Hotel.

Day 18: Chomrong to Dovan.

Day 19: Dovan to Machapuchare base camp(M.B.C.)

Day 20: M.B.C. to trek to annapurnna base camp and walk back to Deurali.

Day 21: Deurali to Shinuwa

Day 22: Shinuwa to Zhinu Danda Hot spring.

Day 23: Zhinu Danda to trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.

Day 24: Back to Kathmandu(drive or flight optional)

Cost Includes

  1. Airport pick up and drop by our private car.
  2. Meals on full board (Breakfast, lunch and dinner) (Note: A.P Plan) during the trek.
  3. All accommodations in lodges/tea houses during the treks.
  4. All the necessary ground transportation.
  5. An experienced Government licensed holder guide and porter and their food, drinks, insurance, salary, equipments, transportation, local tax etc.
  6. All necessary paper works and national park entry permits & TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System)

  2. Laundry, telephone calls, Bar Bills ( Mineral Water, cold drinks, whisky, beer etc),
  3. Emergency evacuation if required, donation, tips and all personal nature expenses.

Equipments List

  1. Gloves with a waterproof shell outer.
  2. Down Jacket.
  3. Fleece or wool trousers/pants.
  4. Trekking boots with spare laces.
  5. Thick, warm wool hiking socks (4).
  6. Footwear for around tea house, eg running shoes and/or sandals.
  7. Trekking Sticks.
